What Should an HVAC Company Post? 15 Video Ideas
Post short videos of real jobs, the techs who show up at the door, and plain answers to the questions homeowners ask before they call. Skip stock photos and flyers. Here are 15 ideas you can film this month, grouped by what each one does for you.
Show the work
- Install day, start to finish. Old unit out, new unit in, the homeowner walkthrough at the end. Film a few seconds at each step and cut it to under a minute.
- Before and after a coil cleaning. One shot of the dirty coil, one of the clean one. Homeowners rarely see what a tune-up actually does.
- What we found on today's call. A tech points at the problem (a burnt capacitor, a clogged drain line) and explains it in one sentence.
- The attic or the air handler. Most homeowners never go up there. Showing it builds trust before you ever ring the bell.
- A mini-split install. Clean, quick and satisfying to watch, and it shows you do more than central air.
Show the people
- Meet the tech. Ten seconds: name, how long they've done this, what they like about the job. People book the company whose techs they recognize.
- A morning in the truck. Loading up, the first call, the drive. It shows you're a real crew, not a call center.
- The owner's why. Twenty seconds on how you run jobs differently. Say it once on camera and you can use it for months.
Answer the questions homeowners search
- AC running but not cooling? Check these first. The thermostat setting, the filter and the breaker. Safe checks that save them a call, and they'll remember who helped.
- How often should I change my filter?. Hold up a dirty filter next to a new one. Short, useful, easy to share.
- What a tune-up actually includes. Walk through your checklist on a real unit, so the price makes sense before they ask.
- Repair or replace?. The questions you ask on a call (age of the system, how often it breaks, the cost of the repair) without quoting prices you can't promise.
Show the proof
- A happy customer on camera. Thirty seconds at the end of a job, with their OK. Nothing beats a neighbor saying it in their own words.
- Read a review out loud. Put the Google review on screen while the tech or owner reads it. Thank the customer by first name.
- The maintenance plan reminder. Before the heat hits, a short clip on why a spring tune-up beats an emergency call in July.
How to film all 15 without losing a day
Plan one shoot a month around real jobs, so your crew keeps working while you film. Write the list before the day, film every idea in short pieces, and shoot vertical for Reels, Shorts and Stories.
Add captions to everything; most people watch with the sound off. Post three or four times a week instead of ten times one week and nothing the next. The same videos can run as ads once you know which ones people watch.
What not to post
Stock photos of a smiling technician who doesn't work for you. Flyers covered in text. The same coupon every week. Homeowners scroll past all of it, because none of it shows them who will actually walk into their house.
BTO Creative House films this for HVAC companies across Palm Beach, Broward, Martin and St. Lucie: one shoot a month, four short ads, and you approve every video.
